Our story

A FAMILY SOCIETY OF THE HEART

2008 – It is at the Hotel George V in Paris that Pauline and Matthieu meet. Freshly graduated from the Ferrandi school and the Strasbourg hotel school, they became best friends in life and at work and make a promise: “one day, we will create a company together”.

2010 – Matthieu decides to work in the fashion industry where he thrived there for 6 years. Pauline, for her part, is participating in the reopening of the Royal Monceau.

2011 – Pauline moves to Mauritius where she works for an investment fund and takes care of organizing company events around the world. Arriving in Auckland for the Rugby World Cup, she asks Matthieu to join her in organizing unique dinners. This is when the first click occurs.

2012 – Matthieu begins to organize dinners at home in parallel with his work in Paris. For her part, Pauline, after 3 thrilling years of traveling and a few months spent in New York, she decides to return to France.

2015 – The adventure started, the company Matthieu & Pauline was born. Since then, she has grown up well and have had the chance to live unforgettable experiences, to organize magical receptions and have only one wish, to continue to make you happy as long as possible!

From the moment you walk through the door until the last sip of your drink, our hand-selected staff is excited to serve with ease.

Our onsite team members are internally hired + trained to share in MP’s passion to deliver memorable experiences. With an entire department dedicated to staff allocation, all staff are expertly slotted based on their skills, strengths, and the details of the event. We encourage our staff to be an onsite representation of our client’s brand, for a seamless transition from planning to party.

Our highly experienced onsite leaders have seen it all, and utilize that wealth of knowledge and experience to hustle and make it happen. Let us be that welcoming face at the check in kiosk or that helpful smile at the coffee bar – we work both with, and for you.

Immerse yourself in a historic house in the heart of the 16th area of Paris. For a seminar (up to 40 people), a cocktail (up to 100 people) or a dinner (up to 50 people), this mansion will make you spend a moment outside of time. The past and the memories are present in every room.

ON THE ROOFTOP OF THE LARGEST GREENHOUSE

A 7000m2 site, designed as an integrated, innovative and virtuous ecosystem : a productive greenhouse heated by a data center, a 1200m2 plot of land cultivated in agro-ecology with more than 70 varieties of ancient fruits and vegetables from organic seeds. Here you are, with your guests, for a unique event with a view of Montmarte and a vegan menu created by Matthieu & amp; Pauline with the greenhouse products.

Our biggest investment is our people. MP has assembled a team of top talent and hospitality from every aspect of the industry, allowing the combined knowledge to solution any challenge that comes our way. We have one thing in common – passion ! 

PURVEYORS

MP focuses on premium, mostly organic food from the finest purveyors. We take pride in researching every item we serve and go to the extra mile assuring quality is never compromised. We buy the best responsibly sourced ingredients and you can taste it.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

New solutions, using less energy. Controlling our deliveries, using organic cleaning products respectful of the environment, training our employees to make them more conscious about our planet. At Matthieu & Pauline, we all care about the future.

PACKAGING

We try to use as often as we can, reusable packaging. When using disposables, we exclusively use 100% biodegradable serveware. We do our best to source our packaging in France or in Europe but never from the other part of the world. 

ZERO WASTE 

We are committed to reduce waste in both our commercial kitchen production and event venue work through the following practices : employing creative techniques to create new dish, not using plastic bottles on events, composting food scraps.

DELIVERIES

Our fleet of light vehicles used meets EURO 5 standards defined by Directive 98/69 /EC. An “eco drive” training is given to our drivers to optimize the use of our vehicles and reduce the environmental impact.

We take pride in researching every item we serve and go the extra mile in assuring quality is never compromised. We buy the best local, responsibly sourced ingredients – it makes a difference, and you can taste it !

Matthieu & Pauline is humble, of the earth. It is fluid and ever changing. So too, is our menu – driven by the seasons, by our moods and by whatever is fresh and exciting in the moment.

We source all of our produce, meats and fish from small, local (when possible) suppliers. Nothing is mass-produced or served out of season, with everything you eat coming directly from the farm to your table. Wines and spirits also come from small producers, both seasoned veterans and ground-breaking upstarts alike, who care about their terroir and couple minimal intervention with maximum innovation.

Before having the best products, we are looking to the best people behind it. Because when the human is good, the products are always good.
